Thriving on both the sides of River Jhelum, Jhelum valley is located in the western part of the of Jammu and Kashmir. It’s 50 kilometers (31 mi) long valley surrounded by lush green mountains, fields and amazing natural waterfalls. A 59 Km long metalled road runs along the river Jhelum from Muzaffarabad to Chokothi.

The weather conditions of the district remain pleasant in summer as well as winter. Snow is seen on mountain tops and higher elevated destinations but not in the valley.
